What we owe each other.

This is the agreement between your studio and Kingdom Made. It is a different relationship from the one we have with buyers, and a different document from the terms of sale: you are a business selling through us, not a consumer buying from us. It is public rather than behind a login, because terms you cannot read before applying are terms you cannot weigh.

You make the pieces, set the prices, hold the stock and post the parcels. We run the shop: the catalogue, the checkout, the payments, the customer emails, and the curation that decides what appears. The contract for each piece is between you and the buyer. We are your agent for the sale and the payment, not the seller.

There is no second fee. If we ever add one, it applies to pieces listed after the change and never retrospectively, and you will be told before it takes effect rather than discovering it on a statement.

Your customers' payments settle directly to your own Stripe account. They do not pass through ours and they are never our money to lose. If this company failed tomorrow, you would not be one of its creditors — which is not a reassurance, it is a structural difference, and independent brands in this country have learned the hard way why it matters.

Statements run on the 1st and the 16th of each month, on a published calendar date rather than "within X days of" something.

You warrant that you have the right to sell what you list, that it is described accurately, and that it complies with UK product safety and labelling law. You keep all intellectual property in your designs. You grant us permission to use your photographs and brand name to sell your pieces and to promote the shop — nothing else, and it ends when you leave.

Every studio is assessed on four things — craft, distinctiveness, whether you can ship reliably, and whether the faith dimension is real. Each must score at least 3 out of 5 independently. A strong score on one does not rescue a weak score on another: a beautiful studio that cannot post a parcel still lets a customer down.

Each piece is then checked individually before it goes live. A rejection always carries the reason. A "not yet" is not a no, and we would rather tell you what would change it than lose you.

If a piece is faulty or not as described, the cost of putting it right sits with you, because you made and described it. We will tell you before we refund a customer on your behalf, and we will not unilaterally decide a dispute against you without hearing from you first.

You can leave at any time, with no notice period and no exit fee. Orders already placed still have to be fulfilled, and statements already earned are still paid on the normal schedule. Your listings come down; your photographs remain yours.

We can end this agreement if pieces are repeatedly not dispatched, if listings are inaccurate, or if something is listed that we should not be selling. Except where the law or safety requires it to be immediate, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it before we do.

We do not take exclusivity. Sell wherever else you like, including your own site — we would rather be a channel you choose than one you are locked into. We do not sell your customer data, and we do not use it to market anything other than Kingdom Made.

If we change anything material here we will email you before it takes effect, not after. Continuing to list after that date is acceptance; leaving instead is entirely reasonable and costs you nothing.
